Prevention to Malaria and other discomforts / vaccination?
If you are planning to go into the rainforest day & night protection against mosquitoes is very important. You might consider taking anti-malaria pills. Many of the popular jungle trekking areas of Thailand and a number of the rural islands particularly Koh Chang, Koh Pha-Ngan and Koh Tao present high risk to the traveller. Bangkok and most popular tourist centers like Phuket are considered relatively risk free.
The best prevention to malaria is simply to use a good mosquito repellent, avoid perfumes and scented aftershave. Wear light colored long-sleeved shirts, long pants. Sleep with air conditioning or with a fan.
It is recommended that travellers have up-to-date vaccination against Tetanus, Polio and Hepatitis A. Other recommended vaccinations are for Hepatitis B, Typhoid and Rabies.
Hallo M,
(easy going).
Wir wünschen Dir einen wunderschönen Tag.
Viele liebe Grüße
Thomas & Claudia & Saphira
